About Us
A BIT OF HISTORY…
Bill and his family moved to Tillamook, Oregon, in 1989 where he worked for a local Westfalia dealer. After several months, he thought that with his electronics background, he might be able to repair some of the circuit boards. With a soldering iron, oscilloscope, computer, and permission from his boss, he began to mend a few circuit boards at home. In January, 1991, he decided to branch out on his own and Electronic Dairy Services came into being.
The business grew, and more circuit boards were added to the repair list. It soon became evident that he needed more help. About that time Bill’s brother, Tom, decided it was time to change his employment direction. Beginning the new millennium, Tom joined Bill as a partner and E.D.S. became incorporated.
In 2015, E.D.S. moved to a larger facility that gave us ample room to grow. Bill’s son Martin, who is an electronics engineer, spent 3 years developing an impressive high-tech computerized testing unit. While having used computer aided testing for many years, this fourth generation test center gives E.D.S. a more thorough and consistent ability to catch those pesky intermittent problems and allows for tighter timing and current monitoring with adjustable load controls. The test center software continues to be upgraded as we find room for improvement.
Endeavoring not only to keep up in the field of electronics as well as the agricultural industry, E.D.S. works to treat each one of the tens of thousands of boards that come through the shop with care.
